Valor Mortis, the first-person Napoleonic action game from Ghostrunner developer One More Level, is dated for October 13. The Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 pre-show trailer also confirmed Vincent Cassel in the role of Napoleon.
The card listed Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud, Steam, and PS5, with Xbox Play Anywhere and Game Pass logos alongside.
The trailer follows a soldier named William through a war-torn countryside where Bonaparte’s conquests have left former comrades with “hollow” eyes. The gameplay footage is all first person: sabre duels against soldiers with glowing purple cores, a flintlock pistol drawn and fired, a hand crackling with blue energy, and a gilded, sun-haloed figure rising out of a sandstorm. The narration quotes William Blake’s “The Tyger”, which host Kyle Bosman pointed out afterwards.
The year was not printed on the card, though October 13 with a Game Pass logo reads as this year. No price was given.
