Sea of Remnants, the pirate adventure from Joker Studio, showed a new trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 and closed with a call to pre-register at its website. No release date or platform list appeared on the card.
The footage was framed as a chapter called “Winds of Memory”, with on-screen lyrics (“take the gamble, brave the gale”, “you gotta sail against the bitter wind”) running along the bottom. A red-haired captain with a compass stands at the wheel of a wooden galleon, and the trailer moves between third-person exploration of cliffside ruins and lush islands, a dice-and-slots gamble with a hamster mascot, a stylised boss fight against a horned brute where “Crackle” attacks and hit counters flash across the screen, and ship-to-ship combat in a lightning storm with auto-sail and focus-fire prompts. A blue-eyed sea beast surfaces at the end.
The art style is bold and cel-shaded, closer to a comic than to the studio’s photoreal peers on the same stage. Pre-registration usually signals a free-to-play launch on PC and mobile, but nothing on the card confirmed that.
