The Blood of Dawnwalker is out on September 3, 2026. Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco closed a new story trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 with the date, a pre-order prompt, and a platform list of PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud, with an Xbox Play Anywhere badge in the corner.

The trailer is the darkest thing the show had put on screen to that point. A bald, pale vampire in gilded scale armour presides over a burning village and a feeding; a woman in a blood-spattered dress raises a hand to her mouth; a gaunt, red-eyed figure in a spiked mask staggers through a forest with a lantern. Between them walks the young lead, dark-haired and armoured, with red runes glowing along one arm and a face that is starting to change, as the narration says “your eyes” and calls him a name the crowd around him uses as an insult.

The lines that came through set up the choice at the game’s centre: “there’s a grain of truth to old legends”, “none of us has any love for [his kind], but this one is different”, “the sun didn’t take him”, and finally “your every move sends a ripple, your every word echoes, your every step leads to crossroads. All that remains is for you to choose.”

Gameplay glimpses showed sword duels in a mountain meadow, a rooftop chase through a timber-framed town, and a night ambush in a torch-lit hall. No price was given on stage.
