Capcom showed new Mega Man: Dual Override gameplay at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 and introduced a new character, Twinkle Girl. The closing card puts the game in 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Host Geoff Keighley billed it as an exclusive glimpse of new gameplay plus a new character “who plans to foil Mega Man’s plan to save the world”. Twinkle Girl arrives on a cyan light-bridge in white-and-teal armour with wing-like fins and a bright grin, then rains arcs of glittering shots over a domed arena. The trailer ends on Mega Man and Proto Man facing off, blue helmet against red.

The gameplay is 2.5D side-scrolling in the modern Mega Man 11 vein: buster fights across a stone castle with spike pits and chain-hung platforms, a night city rooftop with a floating boss pod, an asteroid field crossed in a small mech, and an upgrade screen where a wireframe Mega Man is surrounded by a grid of coloured nodes, which appears to be the dual override system the title refers to.

Capcom also slipped in a crossover: a Pragmata “new skin release” card showed Diana in an outfit inspired by Mega Man, with a Mega Man figure beside her. No price or exact date was given for either.
