Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy launches in two days. Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment closed their Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 trailer with “awaken your legacy in 2 days”, which puts the release on August 27, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

The trailer opens in a black, root-choked cavern with a dark-haired woman in a sleeveless leather vest, who is pushed to breaking point by the end of it: “I can’t do this anymore”. Between those moments it moves through a turquoise Mediterranean cove where a sailing boat is pulled up on the beach, a sunlit ruin overgrown with vines, a desert road under a lone palm, a corridor of stacked bodies lit by a single doorway, a stone arena where armoured soldiers fight, and a torch-lit hall, all in the series’ painterly style. A colossal, dark, many-limbed creature rises over a bay at night, and the closing image is a lone figure facing a giant tree-like form in a green glow.

No price was given on stage.
