Aion 2 has a Western launch date. NCSoft’s Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 trailer closed on “take flight October 5th”, with a Steam wishlist prompt and logos for Steam and the company’s own Purple launcher. Host Geoff Keighley introduced it with “the sky is no longer the limit”.

The trailer strings together the MMO’s pitch in title cards, “enter the beautiful unknown”, “live your legend”, “command your strength”, “fight for the future of Atreia”, over a tour of the world: a canyon settlement with airships and a giant mechanical bird, a broken bridge where a caped figure looks over a chasm, a ruined temple in a field of red blossoms, a dark gothic hall, a snow ridge with a white-furred beast, a warm cove with a rider splashing through the shallows, and a deep-sea dive past glowing fish. Characters include a white-haired woman in black leather and a blonde spellcaster in a yellow gown, and the final shots are a wall of pink-and-purple spell effects, a red magma titan, and a winged, many-limbed creature confronting a lone figure on a cliff.

The card listed only PC storefronts; no console version was mentioned on stage.
