Pony Island 2: Panda Circus, the next game from Inscryption creator Daniel Mullins, is dated for April 27, 2027. The date closed a trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 that host Geoff Keighley called “wild”, and which he summarised as “a voyage through time, myth, divinity, and video games”.

The trailer opens in a misty field with a ruined pagoda, then a stone temple with a red-lit idol at the top of its stairs, hands reaching into a starfield, and a lantern-hung Chinese interior, before the games-within-the-game start stacking up: a pixel-art side-scroller of a boat and a village with a “day 9, hunger, thirst” survival readout, an arcade cabinet whose screen reads “game file status”, a top-down twin-stick fight with a “tower gun” upgrade, a wood-cabin bear shooting gallery, a hidden-object hunt (“5 of 7 blocks found”), a cyan-and-black platformer facing “the Azure Dragon”, and a desktop window with a chat log.

It also has a cast. Cards for “with performances by” introduce SungWon Cho as a character named King Yan, Arian Moayed, and Caitlin Reilly, each shown in live-action inserts, a first for the series.
