Train Sim World 7 was announced during the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 pre-show with a release date of September 15, 2026. Pre-orders are open now with a 10 percent saving, according to the trailer’s closing card.

The trailer was built around a “find your way” theme, cutting between passengers and drivers rather than leading with rolling stock. The footage still showed plenty of it: a Northern-liveried unit in the UK, a German ICE high-speed train, an American locomotive numbered 812, a yellow-fronted UK unit numbered 333005, and a stretch of in-cab driving.

The closing card listed PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The trailer did not list the launch routes or say what changes from Train Sim World 6.
