Ubisoft revealed Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, a full 3D rebuild of the 1999 turn-based strategy classic. Co-host Sjokz introduced it as “beautifully reborn in 3D and faithfully modernized”, and the trailer’s “relive the entire saga” card confirms it covers all three campaigns: Restoration of Erathia, Armageddon’s Blade, and Shadow of Death. It can be wishlisted now; no date was given.

The trailer opens in cinematic mode: a night-time castle gate, a bloodied map on a war table, a graveyard of rising undead, and a knight planting a banner over the line “the great king of Erathia is dead, and the enemies of the kingdom are scrambling to feed on its remains”. Then it turns to the game: a snow-capped Tower town, a Rampart of tree-houses and centaurs, a Castle with a griffin and an angel, a swamp Fortress, and a lush overworld dotted with mines, tents, and a wizard’s tower.

Battles keep the hex-grid bones of the original but play out in 3D: a green dragon’s breath washing over a field, an angel duelling a fire-wreathed efreet, a gold dragon rearing over a desert, a chain-lightning spell arcing between units, and a demon lord with a burning sword at the head of a red army. The narration’s promise: “heroes will rise, kingdoms will fall, Erathia cannot escape its fate.”

The card did not name the developer. Platforms and price were not stated on stage.
