Hello Games showed Stage Fright at Nintendo Direct September 2026, a two-player co-op adventure developed by Ghost Town Games, the studio behind Overcooked. The end card lists it for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch in 2027, with the narration putting it at “next year”.
The trailer opens on two kids approaching a boarded-up house in a dark ghost town, then runs through a string of settings: a roller coaster winding through a mine, a field of pink grass under a metal gantry, a dining room where a doorway in the floor opens onto a starry room, and a swamp crossed by a small boat with a lantern. Nintendo’s narration billed it as “an escape room inspired adventure from the creators of Overcooked” and a coming of age story.
Players swap between three characters, Drew, Blake and Charlie, and follow the story from their different perspectives. The premise has the friends trapped in alternate dimensions, so the pair has to work together across them, using magical contraptions to solve puzzles and get past obstacles in order to escape and save a lost friend. Co-op works locally or online, and the narration promised “easy to use controls”.
Ghost Town Games is developing and Hello Games, the No Man’s Sky studio, is publishing, according to the badges on screen. No month was given beyond 2027, and the segment did not mention pricing or any platforms besides the two Nintendo consoles.
