SNK’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo confirmed during the Nintendo Direct September 2026. The digital version arrives on October 22, 2026, and a physical version follows in January 2027, according to the end card. Pre-orders open on the Nintendo eShop later today.
The segment opened with Switch 2 gameplay: two fighters squaring off in a neon-lit street, a Rush combo counter ticking up on a moonlit garden stage, and a bout in a sunlit plaza. The narration described it as the latest game in the series striking onto the new system.
The base game includes 17 fighters, and Nintendo said more characters will arrive through the season pass. Season Pass 3 adds two guests from the Tokyo Revengers manga and anime, Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji. The trailer cut to anime-style footage of the pair before showing both rendered in the game’s fighting style, Sano in a white shirt and dark jacket, Ryuguji with his braided hair and neck tattoo.
What Nintendo did not say: pricing for the Switch 2 version, whether the season pass content is bundled with the base game or sold separately, and whether earlier season pass characters ship at launch. The physical edition has a January 2027 window but no exact date.
