Nintendo also announced during the Nintendo Direct September 2026 that Star Fox Adventures is joining the Nintendo GameCube library in Nintendo Classics. The end card said it is available later today.
Star Fox Adventures is the 2002 GameCube release, and the copyright line on the footage carries that year. The clip shows Fox McCloud on foot in a jungle with his dinosaur companion Tricky, a large stone statue in a clearing, a close-up cutscene with Fox in his flight jacket, and a short Arwing flight over a purple, rocky planet with the original HUD still on screen. “Alongside his pal Tricky, Fox explores a planet populated by dinosaurs,” the presenter said. “But who knows what they might uncover?”
The on-screen notice states that a Nintendo Switch Online membership and a Nintendo Account are required for online features, that the membership auto-renews unless canceled, and that the service is not available in all countries.
The segment did not give a specific time beyond “later today”, and it did not mention any added features or changes for this version of the game.
