Gameloft showed The Keepsake Sea, the next paid expansion for Disney Dreamlight Valley, during the animated adventures block of Nintendo Direct September 2026. It is dated for November on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, according to the end card.
The trailer opens on a glowing whirlpool in a rocky cove before cutting underwater, to caves lined with coral and a mermaid swimming through pink and purple reefs. The narration says players “transform into a mermaid with personalized looks and explore new areas under the sea.” Back on the surface, a pirate ship sits at the village docks, a waterspout twists over the harbor, and a stone statue of a woman holds a glowing orb.
Three new villagers were named: Milo Thatch from Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Megara from Hercules, and Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, all of whom appeared in the footage. The story, per the narration, has players “uncover relics of lost childhood memories” alongside existing Disney and Pixar villagers and “awaken the Guardians to reveal what secrets dwell within this vast ocean.”
Fine print on the trailer notes that the full game is required to use the DLC and that it is sold separately, and the gameplay footage was captured on the Switch 2 version. No price was shown. The Direct only listed the two Nintendo systems, so the expansion’s timing on other platforms was not mentioned.
