Konami revealed Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX at Nintendo Direct September 2026, a revival of the Duel Academy tag duel series from the PSP era. The narrator introduced it with the line that Tag Force 3 “is reborn on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.”

The trailer shows Jaden Yuki at Duel Academy, opening with a line about the day’s duel tournament, then a character select grid of GX cast members and a duel field with Chazz Princeton on the opposing side. A menu screen lists Story, Shop, Deck, CPU Match and Network Match, with a banner reading “Supports online multiplayer.” Elemental HERO Neos and the spell card Miracle Fusion both appear on the field.

According to the presentation, you play as a Duel Academy student who pairs up with a partner to become the best tag dueling team, choosing from over 100 characters. Dialogue in duels is fully voiced, and online multiplayer is supported.

The end card lists Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, with a release date of February 16, 2027. Pre-orders open on the Nintendo eShop later today, according to the Direct. No price was shown, and the trailer did not say whether this is a straight remake of Tag Force 3 or a new entry built on it.
