CD Projekt Red brought The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered to Nintendo Direct September 2026, and the title card gave it a firm date: Nintendo Switch 2 on September 29, 2026.
The trailer opens on Geralt mid-fight in a burning room, then cuts through a snowfield, a purple-skied clearing with a winged creature overhead, the open world map and a round of Gwent. Nintendo’s narration calls it “this remastered dark fantasy RPG” and lists the Switch 2 additions: “enhanced visuals and gameplay on Nintendo Switch 2, as well as mouse and motion controls, gyro aiming and touchscreen support.”
Both previously released expansions are included, according to the narration. The card listed only Nintendo Switch 2 alongside the September 29 date, and no price appeared on screen.
The segment closed on a second card: Songs of the Past, labeled as an expansion pack and marked “available 2027”. The narration described it as a paid expansion “launching next year”, and the fine print notes the full game is required and it is sold separately. The only footage was a dark forest scene with an antlered, spectral figure, so nothing about its story or setting was confirmed.
Still unknown: the price of the remaster, whether the Switch 2 version offers performance or quality modes, and whether Songs of the Past is a Switch 2 exclusive or also coming to the other platforms The Witcher 3 is already on.
