Nintendo closed a short Pokémon Pokopia segment at Nintendo Direct September 2026 with a look at Part 2 of the game’s Expansion Pass, the paid DLC that launched alongside its first part, Bubbly Basin. Part 2 is built around accessories rather than new territory.
The trailer shows the player character and a string of Pokémon trying on new items: Dedenne and Squirtle in sunglasses, Snubbull in a bow tie, and a ribbon that matches Sylveon, worn while relaxing on a sofa in a pastel room. The narration frames it plainly: “Put on sunglasses and now this Pokémon outing just got a little cooler.” Photo mode gets a workout throughout, with the character posing alongside dressed-up Pokémon.
Part 2 also adds more Pokémon to meet. Doduo, Skitty and Braixen were named on stage and each appeared in the footage, with the “and others” left unspecified.
The closing card lays out the full pass on Nintendo Switch 2: Part 1, Bubbly Basin, is available now; Part 2, the accessories, is listed for late 2026; and Part 3 adds an additional new town in 2027. Fine print confirms that Part 2 does not include a new town and that the individual parts cannot be bought separately. The Expansion Pass is on sale now, according to Nintendo, though no price was shown on screen.
