Mount Hyjal is the first of four new regions coming to Azeroth in World of Warcraft: Forever, shown during the World of Warcraft: Forever What’s Next panel at BlizzCon 2026. The slide called it “Mount Hyjal, Renewed” and “Aftermath of Victory”, and the presenter framed it around what happened after the battle on the mountain: how Hyjal recovered, how its forests are healing from corruption, how the wild gods were affected, and what dangers remain.
“Mount Hyjal is a new endgame leveling zone where players can finally journey through the Dark Whisper Gorge,” the presenter said, calling it one of Warcraft’s most important locations “during a period of history that we’ve never really experienced before.” The zone brings new stories, rewards, and reputations, with both solo and group content, as players help shape the future of the recovering land.
Hyjal also serves as the home of Hyjal Summit, one of the launch raids, and holds one of three entrances into another raid, the Barrow Deeps. The slides showed a skeletal figure wrapped in blue against the mountainside, a pine forest path, a stag in a clearing, a stone temple among the trees, and a dark cavern lit in green.
The “Azeroth: New Regions” slide that opened the segment showed four landscapes: a lakeside structure, green hills, a purple and pink forest, and a dark wooded area. The second region, Shen’dralas, was named minutes later. No level range for Mount Hyjal was given on stage.
