Monster Train 2 is getting a new playable clan, The Punished, through premium DLC launching November 10 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox for $7.99. Developer Shiny Shoe and publisher Big Fan announced the update on October 28, 2026.

The Punished is led by the playable warrior Archus, and its central mechanic lets players sacrifice cards to the Monolith. That builds Devotion and strengthens the clan’s units through Zeal, so damage taken by The Punished’s ranks can be turned into extra damage against enemies, according to the publisher’s announcement.

The DLC will conclude the game’s series of post-launch content updates. Previous updates were provided to all players for free, along with the Destiny of the Railforged DLC, which added an expansive new game mode and challenge.

The publishers also confirmed that Monster Train 2 will come to iOS and Android devices and Nintendo Switch 2 later this year, where The Punished will also be available. No specific dates for those versions were given.

According to the publishers, Monster Train 2 has now surpassed 1 million players. The game is currently available on Steam.
