World of Warcraft: Forever is doing a pass over racial abilities, Lead Software Engineer Nora Mills said during the World of Warcraft: Forever What’s Next panel at BlizzCon 2026. “We want to give you reasons to want to spin up a new character and embark on a new journey,” she said, “which is why we’ve done a pass over race abilities to make them feel more distinct, more unique, such that each race has something special to bring that other races do not.”

Two of the new racial passives were on the slide. Dwarves get Big Game Hunter, which increases damage dealt against Beasts by 5 percent. Undead get Touch of the Grave: spells and attacks have a 5 percent chance to drain health from the target, up to 5 percent of the character’s maximum health.

Mills called these “a sneak peek of a few of our upcoming racial passives” and pointed to tomorrow’s WoW Forever Deep Dive panel, where “my friends will go into a lot more detail on what I’ve teased today.” The panel did not say whether existing racials are being replaced or added to, and no other races were shown.
