Hyjal Summit is a 20-player raid for World of Warcraft: Forever, detailed by lead software engineer Nora Mills at the World of Warcraft: Forever What’s Next panel at BlizzCon 2026. The slide read “New Raids: Hyjal Summit” over a stone tower and elven arch at sunset, and Mills called it “by far our largest raid in WoW Forever.”
The raid was named earlier in the panel as the launch raid in the new Mount Hyjal zone. Mills set up its story: at the battle for Mount Hyjal, Malfurion Stormrage sacrificed the power sustaining the night elves’ immortality to defeat Archimonde. “There must be some who disagreed with his decision, right?” she said. “Fast forward to today and we’re hearing reports that someone or something has been draining the power from the land surrounding Hyjal Summit.”
“If you were to send, say, 20 of your finest, I’d say you’d have a reasonable chance of surviving,” Mills said. She described snowy peaks over the area, a river cutting through ancient elven ruins, and “the whispering of ghosts from the Third War.”
A second slide, “New Raids: Legendary Quest,” followed as Mills said there is “plenty of power to be had as well. Legendary power.” She gave no detail on what the legendary quest is or what it rewards. No boss count or loot was named for Hyjal Summit.
