Blackmaw Hold is a new furbolg dungeon for World of Warcraft: Forever, shown by lead software engineer Nora Mills at the World of Warcraft: Forever What’s Next panel at BlizzCon 2026. The slide read “New Dungeons: Blackmaw Hold” over a wooden furbolg settlement under red-leafed trees, with a gate and a mountain behind.

“In times past I could have sworn I remember standing before a gate in Azshara and wondered what was on the other side,” Mills said. “If you’re around levels 55 to 60 you might as well go check it out for yourself. A great furbolg city lies within.” The furbolgs there, she said, “might be struggling to stave off some sort of corruption. It could be very dangerous.”

The dungeon connects to something bigger. “The tunnels leading into Blackmaw Hold run deep and wind far into the mountain,” Mills said. “Should you decide to explore these tunnels, you might find yourself in an entirely different kind of danger.” That danger is the Barrow Deeps raid, which she introduced next.

No bosses or loot were named and no faction restriction was mentioned. The zone name is our reading of what Mills said on stage; it did not appear on the slide.
