Riverglades is the third of four new regions coming to World of Warcraft: Forever, introduced during the World of Warcraft: Forever What’s Next panel at BlizzCon 2026 after Mount Hyjal and Shen’dralas. It is a leveling zone in the Eastern Kingdoms spanning the mid-30s to the mid-40s; the zone map placed it beside the Redridge Mountains.

The presenter said human forces pursued retreating orcs into the region years ago, and when help never came the settlers built lives of their own on the frontier. “This is a rugged land of rivers, grasslands, trade routes, struggling communities, old grudges, and new opportunities,” he said, with humans, orcs, ogres, gnolls, goblins, and murlocs all competing to survive. “This isn’t a story about saving Azeroth, it’s a story about living in Azeroth.”

Riverglades adds more than 150 new quests with content for both Horde and Alliance players, new reputations, new rewards, and what the team called entirely new ways to progress through the leveling journey. A new neutral goblin port expands trade routes through the Eastern Kingdoms and beyond.

The zone also holds Krol’dok Stronghold, described as an enormous outdoor dungeon where an ogre civilization is “conducting some very questionable business”. The slide showed a mountain fortress of tiered stone platforms and pagoda-style towers. “We thought it might be nice to have another option besides running Scarlet Monastery for the 25th time,” the presenter said. Gameplay frames showed a sunlit dirt road through grassland, a red-leaved forest, and a walled town with a knight statue.
