The Barrow Deeps is a 10-player raid for World of Warcraft: Forever, detailed by lead software engineer Nora Mills at the World of Warcraft: Forever What’s Next panel at BlizzCon 2026. The slide read “New Raids: The Barrow Deeps” over a cavern of blue ice and hanging roots, with groups of enemies gathered on the ledges.
The raid was named earlier in the panel as one destination reached from Mount Hyjal. Mills now called it the first of the game’s raids. “To the night elves, the Barrow Deeps is a sacred place,” she said. “While there may be a variety of barrow dens scattered throughout the land, it is said that their winding tunnels lead to one pivotal location we call the Barrow Deeps.”
“The night elves hold some of their most dangerous prisoners in this location. In fact, rumor has it an infamous demon hunter was once kept here. Perhaps you’ll get to see his prison.” The night elves are hesitant to let anyone in, including allies, and like the furbolgs of Blackmaw Hold “they may be dealing with some sort of corruption.”
On size, Mills said: “If I were you, I’d send no less than 10 of my greatest adventurers.” The tunnels of Blackmaw Hold also lead here. No boss count or loot was given.
