Clay Stone, Associate Production Director on World of Warcraft: Forever, used the Community section of the World of Warcraft: Forever What’s Next panel at BlizzCon 2026 to make a point about what players actually want from a Classic Plus. “If there’s one thing every player agrees on, it’s what is Classic Plus,” he said, before playing a clip of a streamer reading the results of a fan-made survey.
The survey on screen had 35,305 responses. On the question “Should Classic+ have new classes?”, 42.2 percent said no, 35.0 percent said yes, including “completely new classes never seen in WoW before”, 12.3 percent said yes but only classes added in later expansions (Death Knight, Monk, Demon Hunter, Evoker), and 10.5 percent had no opinion. Other questions visible in the list asked whether new race and class combos should be added, whether the Horde should have Paladins and the Alliance Shamans, and whether classes should be reworked.
The streamer in the clip said the data was “the exact opposite of what I thought” and that it was “literally proving that nobody knows what they want.” Stone’s follow-up: “So since we’re all in agreement on what we want, let’s talk transmog.”
He came back to the class question at the end of the roadmap section. “We have room to pivot based on community feedback,” he said. “Nothing is off the table. Not even a new class.”
