Conan Exiles Enhanced, the free overhaul Steam players have had since May, is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in early 2027, and anyone who owns the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One gets it as a free upgrade. Funcom made the announcement today with a trailer and a long FAQ, and promised full cross-play between PC and console “soon after launch.” No release date yet beyond early 2027.
The one catch is in that FAQ. The Isle of Siptah expansion has been folded into the Exiled Lands map in Enhanced so players can travel between the two without switching servers, and that required moving the island’s physical coordinates. Bases built on Siptah “cannot be preserved in the Enhanced update.” Exiled Lands bases, characters and followers on official servers carry over untouched.
Free for every PS4 and Xbox One owner, with purchases and Crom Coins carried over
On consoles, Enhanced is a separate game from the current version, which Funcom is renaming Conan Exiles Legacy. Existing owners get Enhanced free, and anyone who buys either version in future gets both. Everything bought in the old version carries over: Crom Coins, Bazaar items, DLC and Twitch Drops. The Legacy of the Giant-Kings story content and every new Bazaar item released on Steam since May will be on consoles at launch, and Funcom says it plans new content for Enhanced on all platforms through 2027 and beyond.
Funcom CEO Scott Junior tied the move to the game’s age. “With Conan Exiles approaching its 10th anniversary, this is an exciting milestone for us and the community,” he said. “We’re excited to continue supporting and developing the game for hopefully 10 more years.” Conan Exiles entered early access in January 2017 and launched in full in May 2018.
Conan Exiles Legacy loses the Bazaar and official servers
Staying on the old version is possible but costly. Once Enhanced launches, Legacy keeps getting fixes for critical bugs and nothing else: no new content, no Bazaar, and no official servers, which all move to Enhanced. Crom Coins stop working on Legacy at that point, so Funcom’s advice is to spend them before the switch if you plan to stay. Legacy players can keep going in single-player or on private servers.
Saves move in one direction. A single-player save loaded in Enhanced can no longer be opened in Legacy, and Funcom warns that for console players who cannot back up their save files, that change is permanent. Official Exiled Lands servers will be updated from Legacy to Enhanced in place, while Siptah servers will have to merge into Exiled Lands servers, the same process Steam went through in May. Funcom says more guidance for players and private server hosts is coming closer to release.
Part Three of Legacy of the Giant-Kings arrives November 10 on PC
The same post dates the next chapter of the four-part story arc. Part Three of The Legacy of the Giant-Kings comes to Conan Exiles Enhanced on Steam on November 10, with the pharaoh Akhamet “taking on a bigger role in the quest, and maybe a bigger part of your experience going forward.” Part Two, which added Rifts, new Sorcery spells and the return of the Mi-Go, arrived on October 6. Details of Part Three are being held until release.
Enhanced itself is the version of Conan Exiles that reworked environments, characters, lighting and effects, redesigned the UI, and bundled the Exiled Lands and Siptah into one continuous world. On Steam it replaced the old game outright. On consoles Funcom is running both side by side, which is why the FAQ spends so much time on what happens to the old one.
