World of Warcraft Forever adds new zones, 10 and 20 player raids, and race and class combos

The features trailer names Zephras Isle and lists new dungeons, expanded original zones, new talents, account-wide perks, and updated visuals; it is set in vanilla's year one.

World of Warcraft Forever got a features trailer at BlizzCon 2026 right after its November 4 date, and it is more than a re-release of vanilla. Johanna Faries had confirmed Forever as Blizzard’s Classic Plus minutes earlier, and the date and beta have their own post; this one is the trailer’s cards and what Faries said after it.

The feature cards, in order

After a sunlit coast and the gates of Stormwind, the cards started. “New Zones” ran over a purple-lit pine forest. The one zone named on screen was “Zephras Isle”: a wooden dock in the clouds, sailing ships hanging in the mist, chains anchoring the platform to stone spires.

“Expanded Original Zones” sat over a misty valley of rock pillars. “New Dungeons” ran over a city of pointed towers, and the footage under it was a green-lit graveyard where a party fought a large armored figure with a glowing purple face and blade arms, magenta rune rings on the ground.

“10 & 20 Player Raids” was printed over a snowy cave entrance flanked by carved totems and torches, a swirling portal inside.

“New Skills & Talents” showed a three-column talent panel with numbered point counters on the unlocked squares.

“New Race & Class Combinations” ran twice: over a tauren in gold plate holding a sword and shield in a stone hall, then the same tauren in a field with lightning arcing beside it. A gnome in orange and teal robes riding a cloud followed.

“New Items & Rewards” posed four characters in dark armor in a red-rock city. “Account-Wide Perks” showed a dwarf between a translucent ice bear and a small bear cub. “Updated World Visuals” ran over a sunset lake and a harbor town of wooden piers.

The Carve card

Before the logo, the trailer cut to one word in gold letters on a teal carved-stone background: “CARVE”. Nothing else was on the card, and nobody on stage explained it. A circular frame with an orc and a human face to face followed, then the Forever logo.

Where Forever sits in the timeline

“It all starts up after the events of Warcraft 3’s Forsaken Kingdom, when Lordaeron falls, but before Molten Core. So essentially, year one of vanilla WoW. But the future is untold,” Faries said. “We are all going to meet up on our original continents and embark on the journey to 60 and stay at 60 indefinitely.”

On the cap: “We don’t want to race ahead and leave our accomplishments, our gear, and our friends behind. That said, we will progress in new ways and get updates as we go.” A What’s Next panel followed the ceremony, and the Forever Deep Dive panel runs tomorrow morning, according to Faries.

What the trailer did not say

No count of new zones beyond Zephras Isle, no dungeon or raid names, and no word on whether the 10 and 20 player raids are new instances or reworked vanilla ones. No race and class pairings were named. Pricing, whether Forever needs its own subscription, and platforms were not mentioned on screen or on stage.
