Forsaken Kingdom, a new campaign for Warcraft III: Reforged, was announced at BlizzCon 2026, and it is out today. Blizzard president Johanna Faries introduced it at the end of the Opening Ceremony’s Warcraft block: “That includes our Warcraft 3 team. They have been tinkering, my friends, and they have a story to tell. Are you ready to go to war?”
The cinematic and the story
The reveal opened with a pre-rendered cinematic: a walled Lordaeron under attack, soldiers under red banners, knights fighting through smoke, and a figure lit in green, ending on the title card.

“For the first time in 23 years, we have a new campaign in Warcraft 3,” the announcement said. Faries laid out the premise: “In Forsaken Kingdom, we’ll see some new faces, some are appealing and totally gross, and some will be familiar, like Sylvanas. You’ll experience the fall of Lordaeron and how it came to be known as the Undercity.” Players, she added, “will find out what it truly means to be forsaken.”
What the second trailer showed
A second trailer ran in the game’s engine. It opened on a Lordaeron banner and a knight statue with text reading “there was a world” and “there was war”, then a figure standing over a body in a petal-strewn hall and a crown on the steps of an empty throne.

A card over a burning city read “New Prologue: The Last Days of Lordaeron”. A bridge battle followed, blue-armored footmen against purple undead, then a card over a scaffolded underground district read “New Campaign: Forsaken Kingdom”, and the trailer cut to a green-lit sewer pool. Near the end a hooded figure in red, who appears to be Sylvanas, turned toward the camera.
Reforged Updates

A section titled “Reforged Updates” carried three cards. The first, over a night elf base, read “Definitive Edition: New graphic mode added”.

The second showed two hooded warriors in purple and gold and read “New Neutral Hero: Forsaken Paladin”, with “Available in Standard and Definitive Editions” beneath it.

The third read “World Editor improvements: Improved lighting, environments, and more!” over the World Editor with a forest map open, then the same map rendered in the game.
Out today, panels later
Faries said she has played it: “Playing through this campaign really is amazing. It really takes me back and gives me all the feels.” Forsaken Kingdom launches today and is playable on the BlizzCon show floor, she said, and two Warcraft 3 panels later today will have more.
What is still unknown
No price was given, and nothing said whether the campaign is a free update or paid content. The stream did not give a mission count, and the cards did not say whether it needs the Definitive Edition or runs on standard Reforged; only the Forsaken Paladin was labeled as available in both. No platforms were listed beyond the Warcraft III: Reforged branding.
