The new StarCraft game has a release window. The cinematic trailer Blizzard played at BlizzCon 2026 ended on a card reading “Returns 2030”, followed by a StarCraft.com address. The logo card before it showed only the word StarCraft, with no subtitle.
The second half of the trailer follows a young recruit through a Dominion induction. He is fitted into red powered armor in a hangar, and the footage cuts between dropships and tracked vehicles moving over a green plain, a battlefield in flames, a clawed creature lunging at the camera, and rows of soldiers standing in a vast bay of pods. A voice-over addresses the recruits throughout: “the Dominion will give you the training, the tools, and the opportunity to feed your spirit and fulfill your destiny,” then “you fight now for mankind’s very survival,” and finally “you will become more than just soldiers. You will become heroes.”
The end card did not list platforms, and nothing on screen or on stage said what kind of game it is. Blizzard has not given a more specific date than 2030.
