Overwatch’s next Spotlight showcase is set for February, the Overwatch team said while closing its segment at BlizzCon 2026. It was a one-line plug rather than a full announcement, but it comes with a month and a shape.

“I have to sneak in one quick plug for our next spotlight in February with a new story, a fresh set of heroes, and some amazing new systems. We are aiming for peak Overwatch,” the presenter said.

The February Spotlight follows the 2026 Overwatch Spotlight, which the team described on stage as the start of “the biggest year in Overwatch’s history” and the moment it set out “to be the best competitive experience in the world.” Season 5, revealed earlier in the ceremony, ends the Reign of Talon story year, and Season 6 brings the tenth hero of 2026, so the February show would be the start of the next story year.

No specific date in February, and no names for the new story, heroes, or systems, were given on stage.
