Questwatch, a live Overwatch tabletop RPG, was announced on stage at BlizzCon 2026 during the Overwatch segment of the Opening Ceremony. It is a one-off stage show rather than a game feature: it plays out live on the BlizzCon main stage tomorrow, Sunday, September 13.
“Tomorrow, right here on this stage, we’re doing something that is completely new. It’s a live Overwatch tabletop RPG called Questwatch, and it was written by Matt Mercer and the Overwatch narrative team,” the team said. Cassidy is the Game Master, guiding a party that includes Symmetra, Sombra, and Reinhardt through “a one-of-a-kind story that was built just for this weekend.” A fourth party member was named on stage but was not clear on the stream.
The art shown on screen has Cassidy in a wide-brimmed hat holding a die and a spellbook, with Sombra, Symmetra, and a shield-carrying Reinhardt around him.
Following Questwatch, the team will auction custom miniatures, artwork, collectibles, and a jacket made by members of the team and signed by developers and voice actors, with proceeds supporting Make-A-Wish.
The stream did not give a start time for Questwatch or say whether it will be broadcast beyond the stage.
