Midnight Season 3 will start shortly after patch 12.2 Eclipse launches, and it comes with a new PvP season and a new Mythic Plus dungeon pool, Associate Game Director Paul Kubit said at the World of Warcraft: Midnight What’s Next panel at BlizzCon 2026.
The slide listed eight dungeons. The only new one is Thraegar’s Stand, the three-boss dungeon in the Mantle Vault. Five are legacy dungeons: The Underrot, Iron Docks, Sanguine Depths, The Stonecore and Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr. Two are returning Midnight dungeons, Magisters’ Terrace and Maisara Cavern.
Kubit framed the legacy picks as “a package of awesome thematic varied legacy dungeons,” and said every one of them is getting updates to line up with current design, as in Seasons 1 and 2. He singled out one: “Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr, I’m looking at you in particular. I highly doubt you escaped this process with five bosses still inside you.”
The two Midnight dungeons are also being reworked. “These are not going to be the exact same Season 1 dungeons that you may have played through. They’re going to be leaner and meaner,” Kubit said, noting that players will fight Gemaless in Magisters’ Terrace and Gemaless Prime in the Worldcore raid in the same season.
No start date was given for Season 3 beyond following Eclipse, and nothing was said about the PvP season’s rewards.
