The Eclipse campaign ends in a raid called the Worldcore, an eight-boss raid with Xal’atath as its final boss. Associate Game Director Paul Kubit revealed it at the World of Warcraft: Midnight What’s Next panel at BlizzCon 2026, calling it “your classic eight-boss raid”.
The slide read The Worldcore, 8 boss raid, over an image of a glowing orange orb held in Titan machinery. Kubit said the roster mixes big Void enemies with Titan constructs and living Azerite, including the giant Azerite bat from the Gearhold lair, and a boss he called Gemaless Prime, described as the larger version of the Void jellyfish boss fought atop Magisters’ Terrace, “sort of Gemaless’ mama”. That boss name is as spoken on stage.
The final encounter is Xal’atath, whom Kubit introduced as “the harbinger of the Void, the herald of Dimensius, the blade of the Black Empire”, to a large cheer. Her art, a purple-lit figure flanked by two dark orbs, filled the screen.
Ion Hazzikostas said in the Opening Ceremony that Eclipse is Midnight’s final major update, so this is the raid that closes the expansion. Difficulty details and a release date had not been given at this point in the panel.
