Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold preorders start on Wednesday, November 4, but North American players get two different start times. The official Final Fantasy XIV account says preorders on Steam, consoles and the Square Enix Store, including the Evercold Collector’s Box, begin at 10:00 a.m. PST. Digital preorders through the Mog Station begin nine hours earlier, at around 1:00 a.m. PST.
If you are setting an alarm for the box, check what you are buying first: it does not include the game.
The $255 Collector’s Box has no copy of Evercold
The official product page says of the Collector’s Box: “This product does not include a copy of Evercold, in-game items, or pre-order bonuses.” To get the physical goods and the game together, you want the Collector’s Bundle. Both are sold only through the Square Enix Store, so expect the bundle to follow the same 10:00 a.m. PST start. The listed prices are:
- Collector’s Bundle, $319.99: the Collector’s Box plus the Digital Collector’s Edition, on Windows or Mac only.
- Collector’s Box, $255: physical goods only, with a Reaper figure, Special Art Box, Ethos metal keychain, Köttr mini plush and Tapestry of the Fourth.
- Digital Collector’s Edition, $64.99: the game plus the Valhallar Odin mount, Entreat Crystal emote and Crystal Skyltborg.
- Standard Edition, $44.99: the game only.
Preordering the game unlocks early access on February 19
Preordering any edition that includes the game gets you the bonuses: early access, a Wind-up Köttr minion and Halone’s Earring, which gives 30 percent more EXP from levels 1 to 100 for Disciples of War or Magic. Early access opens around 1:00 a.m. PST on Friday, February 19, 2027, and the page says “users must have registered Dawntrail and completed certain quests.” Full launch follows on February 23.
Outside North America, the first wave starts at 9:00 GMT or 20:00 AEDT
The earlier announcement gave the opening time as 1:00 a.m. PST, 9:00 GMT and 20:00 AEDT. The 10:00 a.m. PST time was announced for North America only, so check your regional store if you are buying a physical edition elsewhere.
