Olli43, the YouTuber who joined Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games as a content manager, is leaving the studio. In a post on X today, shared widely on r/starcitizen, Olli43 wrote: “I have agreed with CIG that I’ll be departing as the role has changed and it isn’t for me.”

The Star Citizen Wiki lists the start date as June 2026, which would make it about five months at the studio. CIG has not commented publicly on the departure as far as we can find.

Olli43 worked on Inside CIG and the Squadron 42 event

The post lists that work: “Over the last few months, I’ve supported teams across the company, contributed to multiple videos including ‘Inside CIG’, supported the incredible Squadron 42 event and thrown myself into every opportunity.” It also praises the people there: “The skill and talent across the company is inspiring.”

Olli43 plans to return to YouTube and streaming

Olli43 has 1.5 million YouTube subscribers, according to the account’s X bio, and plans to return to that audience: “I’m looking forward to getting back to videos, streaming, and exploring opportunities to collaborate with CIG in the future.”
