GTA 6 comes in two editions: the Standard Edition for $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition for $99.99. Both launch November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and both get the pre-order bonus, the Vintage Vice City Pack, if you buy before November 20. Here’s what you actually get for the extra $20.
GTA 6 Standard Edition ($79.99)
The Standard Edition is the full game. Rockstar describes it as “a single-player experience set in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet.”
- Grand Theft Auto VI
- Vintage Vice City Pack (pre-order bonus)
- A free month of GTA+ with digital pre-orders
- Formats: digital, or “Code in Box” at retail. The boxed version has no disc, just a download code.
GTA 6 Ultimate Edition ($99.99)
The Ultimate Edition is digital only. Rockstar calls it “an exclusive collection of items threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story,” and those extras unlock as you play through the story rather than all at once. Rockstar’s editions page lists them as:
- ’95 Grotti Cheetah
- ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy
- Shitzu Squalo
- Classic Car Collection
- Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles
- Ganado Retro Build
- Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers
- Personalized Weapon Variants
- Vice City Style
- Rideout Customs Mod Shop
- One-Eyed Willie’s Mod Shop
- Sara’s Unisex Salon
- Stock 305 Clothing Store
- Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor
- Goodtime Gear
- PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store
Pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition also gets you the Vintage Vice City Pack and, digitally, the free month of GTA+.
Can you upgrade from Standard to Ultimate later?
Yes. The PlayStation Store lists a separate Ultimate Edition Upgrade add-on, so you can start with the Standard Edition and buy the extras later. It isn’t available to pre-order on its own yet.
What’s in the Vintage Vice City Pack?
The Vintage Vice City Pack is the pre-order bonus for both editions. Rockstar says it brings “unique benefits that flash back to when the neon burned brightest,” a nod to the Vice City of the 1980s. To get it, pre-order or buy the game before November 20, 2026. That’s the day after launch, so launch-day buyers still qualify.
What does the free month of GTA+ do?
GTA+ is Rockstar’s membership. Every digital pre-order of GTA 6 comes with one free month. Rockstar hasn’t detailed what GTA+ includes for GTA 6 yet, so we’ll update this section when it does.
Is there a collector’s edition?
Rockstar lists a “Vice City Collection” collector’s box alongside a range of GTA 6 merchandise on the Rockstar Store, so check that listing for exactly what’s in the box. The two game editions are the Standard and Ultimate Editions above.
Which edition should you buy?
If you just want to play, the Standard Edition is the whole game, and you can upgrade later if the Ultimate extras turn out to matter to you. The Ultimate Edition is worth it if you know you’ll be living in Vice City for months: it’s mostly cars, weapons, clothing and mod shops, and nothing in it is needed to finish the story. Either way, pre-order before November 12 if you want to pre-load the game a week early.
Everything else Rockstar has confirmed is on our Grand Theft Auto VI page.
