Hooded Horse has announced the Space Program expansion for Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic, which launches later this month. The DLC takes the city builder beyond Earth, adding research, new industries, and systems for manufacturing, assembling, and launching rockets.
Players can work through programs inspired by Sputnik 1 and the Vostok missions, according to the publisher’s description. The stated goal is to be the first to reach the cosmos and to contend with nature in the process.
Fourth expansion for the base game
This is the fourth expansion for Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic. According to Hooded Horse, the base game has sold over a million copies to date.
The studio also says the game holds a 91% “Very Positive” rating on Steam, based on more than 25,000 reviews. Those figures come from the publisher and have not been independently verified by Output Lag.
