Mandated Fate will release its first public demo on August 17 during Steam Cyberpunk Fest, according to developer Tetrarchy Studios. The demo covers the game’s opening chapter and runs 30-60 minutes for a typical playthrough.
The narrative-driven social thriller is set in an alternate 1985 under technocratic rule. Players take on the role of an Imperial Inspector investigating a murder that hints at larger political conspiracy. The demo lets you question suspects, gather evidence, and make choices that shape the story.
Mandated Fate blends detective work with exploration across a retro-futuristic city inspired by cyberpunk and neo-noir aesthetics. You can experience the story in both first- and third-person perspectives. Every conversation and discovery can lead to different narrative branches and consequences.
The game is coming to Steam, where it’s available to wishlist now. A release date hasn’t been announced.
