Theos: Cities of Myth is out now on PC, published by Dotemu and developed by Triskell Interactive, the studio behind Pharaoh: A New Era. The game costs $19.99, with a 20% launch discount available through Nov. 11, according to the publisher.
The city builder asks players to design and manage a settlement in ancient Greece while keeping seven Greek deities happy. Favor from gods such as Zeus and Athena brings blessings and boons, while neglecting them can bring their wrath. Players must also handle daily citizen needs, relations with neighboring colonies, and city management.
Gods and residents shape your city
Beyond the deities, the game lets players attract renowned figures to their settlement, with Aristotle named as an example. According to Dotemu, the building tools carry over from Pharaoh: A New Era, paired with a interface it describes as intuitive and a set of changes to genre conventions.
The publisher describes the game’s visuals as lush, covering temples, greenery and city streets. A launch trailer is available on YouTube.
