AYASA: Shadows of Silence, the dialogue-free horror puzzle-platformer from Aya Games, is out now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for $19.99. The game first launched on PC via Steam on November 28, 2025.
According to the publisher, the console release includes major updates and improvements made in response to player feedback from the Steam launch. The studio says it is the best version of the game yet on both console and PC.
A story told without words
The game is set in the Inverted World, a realm thrown into darkness after a war. Players guide Ayasa, a young girl traveling alone, through six lands named Faith, Hope, Love, Greed, Indifference and Betrayal. Her goal is to recover the scattered remnants of Tas’s light.
Progress relies on light-based environmental puzzles that reveal hidden routes and awaken ancient machines. Players also need stealth and timing to avoid threats too dangerous to confront directly. The story is conveyed through movement, imagery and music rather than spoken dialogue.
The soundtrack is composed by Arman Msryan and draws on the music of Komitas. According to the studio, the art direction takes inspiration from Tim Burton, René Laloux, Robert Sahakyants, Hayao Miyazaki and Sergei Parajanov.
Aya Games is an independent studio operating in Armenia and the United States, with a team of 10+ people. The PC version supports menus and interface text in 24 languages, and the Soundtrack and Digital Artbook are sold separately on Steam.
