Update 43.1 is now available for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, introducing a new kick action for unarmed combat and the ability to use sidearms and throwables while swimming on the water’s surface.

The kick mechanic lets players knock back other players or break certain objects like windows and wooden doors. Swimming and diving speeds have been increased by 25% across the board.

Item interactions have been expanded. Players can now pick up and carry certain items directly or throw them to teammates without first placing them in inventory. Healing and boost items, along with deployable items, can also be used directly from the ground, reducing inventory management during matches.

Light Machine Guns (LMGs) have received balance adjustments to aim speed, recoil, effectiveness against vehicles and spawn rates. According to Krafton, the previous LMG meta rotation had a larger impact on gameplay than expected.

Update 43.1 brings new collaboration content inspired by the anime JUJUTSU KAISEN, adding themed spaces and visual elements to selected areas of Erangel. A new Leaderboard menu has been added to Career, letting players view rankings across seasonal wins, kills by weapon and Clan XP in addition to Ranked standings.

The patch also returns Solo Deathmatch in Arcade, adjusts boat durability and repair functionality, changes parachute activation conditions, and adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 4.1 on PC. Rumble returns in a Duo format on PC, character hit detection has been adjusted on console, and additional custom preset slots are now available.
