Spoiler warning: this story discusses datamined content from Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave and its Expansion Pass, including character names.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave’s files are being read for the first time, and the early findings sketch out how big the Expansion Pass is going to be. Dataminer Aveyn_Knight, a long-time contributor to the fan site Serenes Forest, posted a first batch of findings on October 26. They point to full two-part campaigns for the four Flame Lords who are not yet playable, a Maddening difficulty that the game does not currently have, and seven characters in the roster data that Nintendo has not announced. None of it is confirmed, and some of it is clearly unfinished.

All four remaining Flame Lords get obelisks and two-part stories

Nintendo’s Expansion Pass roadmap already lists Wave 3 as “new stories” featuring Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel and Anatolia, due in 2027. The datamine fills in the structure: each of the four has an obelisk with its own theme, and each has Part 1 and Part 2 story data, mirroring the base campaign. The lords also have glowing portraits that unlock for finishing Part 2. The dataminer notes that there is no text for the obelisks yet.

One lord is the odd one out. Orchel appears to have no Part 2 at present. That could mean the content is not finished, that Orchel’s story is structured differently, or that something else is planned. Players on the Fire Emblem subreddit pointed to a support conversation in which Diego says he is waiting while Orchel “sees the world,” and wondered whether her second part is a journey rather than a war. It is a guess.

Anna, Cleobulus, Myson and four more sit in the roster data

The roster menu contains unused entries for Chiara, Churness, Credna, Cleobulus, Gladius, Jurah, Kalla, Myson, Nomved, Smyrnos and Suarez. Smyrnos and Jurah are already announced as Wave 2 allies alongside Aurora, and Mars was leaked by Nintendo itself. Beyond those, the characters who also appear in costume data or support data, which is where a playable unit leaves a trace, are Anna, Cleobulus, Credna, Gladius, Kalla, Mars and Myson. That is seven unannounced playable characters if all of them ship.

Cleobulus and Myson in particular surprised the thread, which had expected both to stay enemy-only. Myson, the Agarthan from Three Houses who became a running joke among fans, drew the loudest reaction. The data also makes a popular theory more plausible: that Cruaidin is Gladius in disguise.

Maddening and Lunatic placeholders, and one new Diadem

Text and UI files contain placeholders for Lunatic and Maddening difficulties, along with UI for completing the game on Maddening. The game does not currently offer either, so a harder mode looks likely to arrive with the pass. On the equipment side there is a single new Diadem, the Diadem of Sagacity, which is the Crest of Macuil from Three Houses, and no other new diadems were found.

Players in the thread were already doing the math on another 200 hours. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave launched September 17 on Nintendo Switch 2. Wave 1 of the Expansion Pass, four extra weapons, is out now; Wave 2’s outfits and three allies arrive for the holidays; Wave 3’s new stories are due in 2027.
