Don’t Lose Aggro, the singleplayer action roguelite inspired by MMO tanking, has released a major Early Access update expanding party size from two to three members. The update lands during Steam’s Party-Based RPG Fest, which runs September 14-21.

The expansion adds a new Summoner companion alongside new companion behaviors and a target marking system designed to give players more control during combat. Players also gain access to Blood Strike, a new ability that deals damage while healing the player.

Other additions include a new shield with toughness modifiers, new status effects and debuffs, a revised tutorial, and UX/UI improvements. The update follows a recent playtesting period where players provided feedback on the new systems.

At its core, Don’t Lose Aggro has players taking on the tank role, using positioning, abilities, and threat management to keep enemies focused on themselves instead of their companions. The three-person party adds another layer of responsibility to that core mechanic.

Don’t Lose Aggro entered Early Access on April 15, 2026 and is available now on Steam.
