Revenge of the Firstborn, a D&D 3.5 SRD-inspired tactical RPG, is getting a major visual upgrade ahead of Steam Party-Based RPG Fest, running September 14–21.

The updated demo lands on Steam now and includes refreshed UI screens, upgraded spell effects, improved dungeon and interior lighting with more dynamic torch interactions, and new environmental physics like reactive grass that reacts as party members move through it.

Sawtooth Games’ game blends narrative-driven exploration with turn-based party combat and deep character customization. The demo gives players a look at how the game is evolving visually during ongoing development, with torch and light sources now interacting more naturally with their surroundings to add atmosphere to environments.

Revenge of the Firstborn is listed as coming out on Steam at a date to be announced.
