Art the Clown has a new toy. At 10am Eastern on Sunday the official Dead by Daylight accounts posted a second Terrifier teaser: Art mid-swing, both hands on a blood-soaked club bristling with nails, under the line “This punchline’s going to hurt. PTB 27.10.26.” It follows Thursday’s first in-engine look at him, which had him pointing a lit blowtorch at the camera, and it lands two days before the Public Test Build that will let players try him.

Two teasers in four days, and a different weapon in each
Thursday’s post read “He’s burning to meet you. PTB 27.10.26.” and showed Art in his stained white and black costume, tiny top hat tilted, grinning around yellowed teeth as he aimed a blowtorch at the viewer. Sunday’s follows the same template: the same Dead by Daylight and Damien Leone’s Terrifier lockup, the same date, and a new weapon. Behaviour has not said what either prop means for his power. In the films Art kills with whatever is to hand, so two weapons across two teasers may hint that his kit is not built around a single tool, or they may simply be two good screenshots. Neither post adds a word of explanation, which is how Behaviour has run most of its licensed Killer reveals.
The PTB opens October 27 on Steam, the chapter itself is “November 2026”
The Public Test Build is Dead by Daylight’s PC-only preview branch on Steam, where a Chapter runs for a few weeks of balance feedback before it reaches every platform. October 27 was on the October roadmap Behaviour published on October 1, unnamed at the time, and when fans under Thursday’s post asked whether the date was the 26th or the 27th, the account replied: “We can confirm PTB is on October 27th!” The crossover itself was announced at the game’s tenth anniversary broadcast in June with a single line, “Dead by Daylight x Terrifier. November 2026.” That is still the only release window. Leak accounts have floated specific November dates, and none of them is official.
Chucky leaves the store on November 24, the month Art arrives
Art’s arrival overlaps with a departure. On Friday Behaviour confirmed that the Chucky Chapter will be removed from in-game and first-party stores on November 24, 2026, with its content going on sale on all platforms from Monday, October 26. Anyone who already owns Chucky keeps him. It is the usual rhythm for a licensed roster: one horror icon’s deal winds down as another’s begins.
What Behaviour has not shown: his power, perks, or a Survivor
Two stills are all there is. Behaviour has not revealed Art’s power, his perks, a Survivor, a map, or whether David Howard Thornton, who plays Art in the films, is involved. All of it becomes public the moment the PTB goes live on Tuesday, when dataminers and streamers will pull his kit apart within the hour. We will cover what he actually does once he is playable.
