Core Keeper’s free Riders of the Underground update is out now on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, according to developer Pugstorm and publisher Fireshine Games.
The update introduces rideable mounts for the first time in the mining adventure game. Players can tame cattle and use them as mounts, naming them and setting behavioral commands like staying in place, roaming freely, or following the player.
A new Hookshot tool lets players cross gaps and pits without building bridges or laying paths. The update also adds a new Moss sub-biome featuring lush greenery among stone ruins in the Forgotten Ruins.
Alongside these features, the patch introduces multiple new pets with unique abilities, new weapons, accessories, armor pieces, and quality of life improvements. Fireshine Games did not specify which additions would be included in the latter category.
