Off the main line there are named fights with health bars but no achievement: the Black Skeletal Witch Husipo and the Black Skeletal Butcher underground, the Noble Sentinel on the Mausoleum roof, and a long list of hidden ones covered at the end.

Shrine Guardian: impact damage and patience win the first boss

Location: the Shrine of Endu, the locked shrine near where you start. Its gate key, the Endu Shrine Gate Key, is at the bottom of the Crypt; you open the Crypt by throwing a dagger at the diamond-shaped switch beside its entrance, so pick up the Dagger Belt on the coast first. Our early weapons guide walks that route.

Strategy: it is a heavily armored skeleton with a big cleaver. Like other skeletons it is weak to impact, so the Club from the Crypt does more than the Rusted Sword. The overhead swing reaches much further than it looks, so step well back when the blade goes up, then punish the long recovery with a charged hit. Back off to let your power meter refill, throw daggers in the gaps, and keep to open ground; the rocks in the arena catch you when you retreat. You have no Wind Dash yet, so positioning is everything.

Rewards: the Holy Sword Endu inside the shrine, with its first Wind Gem for one air dash and the Flying Sword achievement, and the Stone Duck Figurine, which unlocks Umbada’s Trading Outpost, the shop.

The three Royal Orbewa Guards open Dagoom’s door

In Obmuer Temple, in the large cavern past the Trident Key save point, three mini bosses must die before the boss door opens: Yepo, Erda and Wami of the Royal Orbewa Guard. They are spread across the upper water, the lower water and the dry slope at the back. None has an achievement. Treat them as the warm-up: they drain healing items, and Dagoom is right behind the door, so restock before you open it.

Dagoom the Sea King: hit the back of his legs to knock him down

Location: the end of Obmuer Temple, behind the Royal Guards’ door. Save at the last Crystal Monument first.

Strategy: Dagoom is the first real wall and the most complained-about fight on the Steam forums. He stomps up close, poisons the water in purple pools, pulls you in with a whirlpool and summons fish with a lot of health. The tips that come up again and again:

  • Hit the backs of his legs. Enough damage there knocks him over for a free punish.
  • Set him on fire with the Azure Torch for damage over time, then swap to a heavier weapon for the legs.
  • The Splash Hammer, found in this temple, has a special attack that clears the summoned fish in one go.
  • Wind Dash out of poison and away from the whirlpool. You can dash with any weapon equipped, and the dash itself does damage.
  • Many players simply ignore the fish and race his health down. Bring status cures for the poison.

Rewards: Treacherous Baleen and the Silver Duck Figurine for more shop stock. The route out leads to the third outdoor gargoyle beacon. Players have reported clipping and freezes in this fight, so save right before it.

The Necronomicon: stay at range and wait out the goat form

Location: the top of the Tower of Knowledge, through the golden doors that need the Forbidden Archives Key. Our Tower of Knowledge walkthrough covers the puzzles before it, and our progression route shows how you get to the tower.

Strategy: the hard part is often the climb. Clear the Manticores on the way, then save at the last Crystal Monument without resting so they stay dead. The book itself floats out of reach and fires status effects, so bring cures. Throw everything: daggers, piercing daggers and the homing Occult Knife. Burn it with the Azure Torch. When it drops low, hit it with a charged slash and back away. When it turns into the goat-headed Necrotic Baphomet, keep your distance until it changes back.

Rewards: Hell Transcribed and the Acid Vial, which coats your basic throwing daggers so they can kill the moaning faces in the flesh walls. You need that to leave the arena. Players also report a Golden Duck Figurine.

Poenir and Duenir: the Deimpo Mausoleum boss is two monsters at once

Location: deep in Deimpo Mausoleum, the building you can see from the start. You reach it through the flesh wall by the six-book vault in the Tower of Knowledge. The boss door near Chef Gagi’s section is sealed by six green Puwema sigils. Pick up Puwema’s Lens and the Mask of Second Sight in the Mausoleum, equip the mask, and follow the green particle trails to dispel all six. Chef Gagi’s meal ticket quest does not affect the door.

Strategy: Poenir, Rotten Wings of Despair, is the giant bat in the air. Duenir, Depraved Horns of Agony, is the ground half, which players describe as a spider. Two bosses means you are always being attacked from somewhere, so keep moving and Wind Dash for space rather than standing to trade. Use throwables on whichever one you can actually hit, save charged slashes for openings, and heal only after you have broken away.

Rewards: Demonic Servitude. Afterwards, King Gius Abraon tells you Queen Siraatsu shattered his holy sword Unok. You collect Unok’s Remains and head through a fissure toward the Ancient World.

The Noble Sentinel, an armored knight, guarding a stone walkway lit by braziers in Queen's Domain
The Noble Sentinel waits on the roof of Deimpo Mausoleum. It is optional and has no achievement.

The later bosses need keys, lenses and seals found across the island

After the Mausoleum, Queen’s Domain stops being a corridor. These fights are listed in the order the achievement numbers suggest most players reach them, but you can do several in a different order. Fewer players have reached these fights, so community notes on them are thinner; where a detail comes from a single player, it is marked.

Josami Lord Saijha, Ancient World

The Ancient World is the machine-filled area past the fissure. Players report you find a blue key and a shock gun in a lab, then use the gun on the pyramid power towers to open the big bridge to Siraatsu Castle. Saijha is listed among the Ancient World’s enemies and guards its route. The creator Wikloe called it the best fight to that point and warned that its giant laser can still clip you behind cover, so get far out of the beam rather than trusting a pillar. Achievement: Sworn Protector.

The Gigantic Serf, Rotting Cavern

The Serf does not wait in an arena. A note by a skeleton in the middle of the lake hints that a follower was swallowed running through the water: walk through the rotting water and the giant fish leaps out at you. It may not be the first fish that surfaces. Killing it gives one of the three parts of Jigeki’s key, which opens the temple door in Verdant Hollow. Achievement: Beneath Rotten Waters.

Herald of Okbujo, Record of Sin

The Herald is the boss of the Record of Sin. Talk to it after the fight: it gives you a mirror that lets you use Memento items, which matter for the later endings. One player reports some extra enemies in the area only appear once the Herald is active or dead. Achievement: Dread Silver.

Blood Angel Lords Yuumed and Woyeki, Forgotten Dungeon

You need the Blood Angel Josami Key first. It comes from the blood ritual gauntlet, the big circular pool of bright red blood in the ruins between Verdant Hollow and the Rotting Cavern, where waves of Blood Angel fighters attack. Take the key down to the main Forgotten Dungeon and find the big red door. Achievement: Fallen Angels.

Usunha and Wujomiod, temple in Verdant Hollow

The rarest boss achievement. Dragon Lord Usunha and Malachite Dragon Wujomiod sit behind a massive door ringed by eight green torches inside the temple in Verdant Hollow. Take the lens in the temple, equip the Mask of Second Sight and find the eight statues holding circular disks around the island to light the door. Players identify them as the Sipeha statues. Achievement: Wake From Dreams.

Queen Siraatsu, Siraatsu Castle

Players report three bosses inside the castle that must fall before you can reach the queen, one of them at the end of the long upstairs hallway near a save point and another down a red pipe in the flooded area with blood manta rays. The queen is the final fight, and what you face depends on your sword: fighting her with the True Holy Sword Akunra triggers a second phase, Enraged Queen Siraatsu, and fighting her with Okbujo’s Judgement leads to the Soul of Sipeha. Those swords tie into the game’s four endings.

Three habits make every Queen’s Domain boss easier

  • Attack on a full power meter. Swinging on an empty meter does little. Back off, throw something, and come back charged.
  • Use the Wind Dash constantly. Boss arenas are built around it, it works with any weapon, and it hits enemies you pass through.
  • Explore before a wall. Several players who struggled with Dagoom went off, levelled weapons and collected healing, and came back to an easy fight. Check the bestiary for weaknesses too.

Queen’s Domain is developed by Freshly Baked Games and published by Future Friends Games. Boss names and completion rates come from the game’s Steam achievement list. Many locations were pinned down by players in the Queen’s Domain Steam community, including a community bestiary guide.
