Path of Exile 1 has its next league. Grinding Gear Games released a 33-second teaser for Path of Exile 3.30 on Sunday, and it names the expansion Covens of Umbra. It also gives the launch date: Covens of Umbra goes live on November 13 (Pacific time), free on PC and consoles. That is one week after ExileCon, where GGG will show it in full.
The teaser’s tagline is short: “She comes for your realm.”
The teaser shows a coven around a ritual circle in a candlelit forest
The teaser has no gameplay or mechanics, only one ritual scene. Hunched, ragged figures stand around a bound stone circle in a dark forest ringed with candles. A pale, thorned shape rises out of the altar, the circle opens into a swirling portal, and the camera drops through a glowing pentagram before the Covens of Umbra logo appears. Taken with the “she” in the tagline, it points to a witch or coven leader at the center of the league. GGG has not named her yet.
Full reveal on November 6 at ExileCon, starting 12:30pm Pacific
The teaser’s description sends players to the ExileCon stream on twitch.tv/pathofexile on November 6 at 12:30pm Pacific (3:30pm Eastern). That is when the pre-show starts. The keynote itself begins at 1pm Pacific and, according to GGG, runs about two hours across both games. We covered the full ExileCon 2026 keynote schedule last week. GGG publishes trailers and announcement pages during the stream, so the Covens of Umbra mechanics, patch notes and new items should appear while the keynote is still live.
Covens of Umbra launches four weeks before Path of Exile 2 hits 1.0
The timing is tight. Path of Exile 2 leaves early access on December 11, so the first game gets a fresh league four weeks before its sequel’s full launch. GGG has kept Path of Exile 1 on its regular league cadence through the sequel’s whole early access, and 3.30 shows that is not changing in the run-up to 1.0.
The teaser lists the launch only as November 13 on “PC and consoles”. GGG has not given an exact launch time yet, and in past leagues console versions have sometimes arrived after PC. Expect both details in the keynote.
