The Wolf Among Us 2 will remember your choices, but only if you sign in to a Telltale Account during Remastered

Telltale says Remastered players who sign in carry their defining choices into the 2027 sequel. Everyone else sets their history at the start of the game.

The Wolf Among Us 2 will carry over the choices you make in The Wolf Among Us Remastered, Telltale has confirmed, with one condition attached: you have to be signed in to a Telltale Account while you play the remaster. The confirmation sits in the Remastered Steam page’s feature list and in Telltale’s launch announcement, posted on October 29 when the remaster went on sale.

Here is the full wording from the store page: “Players who sign in to their Telltale Account while playing Remastered can carry those defining choices into the next season of Bigby’s story. Those who prefer to jump straight into The Wolf Among Us 2 can establish their past choices at the start of the game, with no previous play-through required. However you lived it, The Wolf Among Us 2 will remember.”

Sign in during Remastered, or set your history by hand when the sequel starts

The system works the way Telltale’s older series did, with an account sign-in doing the job a local save file used to do. Play Remastered while logged in and the account holds your “defining choices” for the sequel to read in 2027. Telltale has not published the list of which decisions count, so for now the safest assumption is the big ones: who you spare, who you arrest, and how the final confrontation ends.

If you would rather not replay the first season, the sequel does not punish you for it. The Wolf Among Us 2 opens with a setup step where you pick your past choices yourself, and Telltale says no previous playthrough is required. In the launch announcement the studio frames the carry-over as “continuing the story shaped by the decisions you make today.”

Telltale only mentions Remastered, not your 2013 save

Every line Telltale has written about the carry-over names Remastered specifically. There is no mention of importing a save from the 2013 original, and nothing about the account retroactively reading choices from a playthrough you finished years ago. Until Telltale says otherwise, treat the original game’s saves as not counting, and the manual setup in the sequel as the route for anyone who does not replay.

That makes the remaster more than a visual pass for people who care about continuity. It is the only playthrough the sequel is confirmed to recognise.

Remastered is $19.99 until November 12, with five deleted scenes and a Noir Mode

The Wolf Among Us Remastered launched on October 29 at $24.99, with a 20 percent launch discount on Steam that runs until November 12, and Telltale says owners of the original get up to 50 percent off over the same window. The remaster covers all five episodes with reworked environments, lighting, animation and audio.

Two additions are new. Five deleted scenes cut from the original episodes have been restored as playable special features, and an optional Noir Mode plays the whole story in black and white, switchable at any time. A gallery with more than 100 pieces of artwork and over an hour of developer interviews rounds it out. Telltale published it with PM Studios.

The Wolf Among Us 2 is still dated 2027, with no month

The sequel’s timing has not moved. In its reveal post earlier this year Telltale said that “in 2027, Bigby will dig into a new mystery that reaches deep into the city’s underworld,” and the Steam listing still reads “coming soon.” The store pitch describes Bigby confronting “the monster within that threatens the future of Fabletown.”

So the practical advice for anyone planning ahead is simple. If you want your own Fabletown to be the one the sequel remembers, play Remastered signed in. If you do not, the sequel will ask you what happened, and take your word for it.
