Pre-orders are now open for Metro 2039, the next entry in 4A Games’ post-apocalyptic shooter series, according to publisher PLAION. The game launches on February 4, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox on PC).
Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s Editions are available to pre-order on all platforms. Every edition includes the full game and the Specialist Pack pre-order bonus. The Standard and Deluxe Editions are sold digitally and physically, while the Collector’s Edition is physical only.
The Specialist Pack gives three backpack upgrades, each unlocked early through blueprints, a new feature in the game for crafting weapon and gear attachments. Players can equip only one at a time. The options are an Equipment Specialist Pouch for faster crafting of advanced weapons and gear, a Chemtech Specialist Pouch with extra gas mask filters for radioactive areas, and a Munitions Specialist Pouch for rarer, more powerful ammunition.
The Deluxe and Collector’s Editions include the Story Expansion DLC, which will arrive after launch. PLAION has not yet shared details about the expansion. The Deluxe Edition adds a digital art book and digital soundtrack, and the Collector’s Edition adds a wearable replica Spartan helmet, a SteelBook, a hardback art book and the same digital extras.
A pre-order sizzle trailer and press assets, including key art and screenshots, were released with the announcement.
