4A Games announced Metro 2039 will launch February 4, 2027 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X. The studio revealed the game during PlayStation’s State of Play event, premiering console gameplay running at 4K 60FPS with ray tracing in Performance Mode.

The reveal trailer shows The Stranger exploring a ruined apartment block in post-apocalyptic Moscow, highlighting environmental detail and kinetic combat. 4A Games said the footage demonstrates technological advances made to the 4A Engine since Metro Exodus in 2019.

Metro 2039 won Best Visuals at gamescom and secured the most award nominations of any title at the show, according to the studio. Players can wishlist the game now on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Epic Games Store, with pre-orders opening later this year.

4A Games is also making Metro Exodus available now in the PlayStation Plus Extra Game Catalog to help players prepare. The studio plans to share more technical details and graphical mode options in the coming months.
